Tea-Stained Wedding Dresses
A wedding is a blissful affair. The dress and other accessories of the occasion for the bride and the groom need to be carefully selected. Much time and attention needs to be extended for the purpose as only the choicest items can be befitting for the bride and the bridegroom. The bride’s apparel for the occasion of a lifetime usually comes in pristine white though other beautiful colors may also be confidently opted for. Now it may so happen (God forbid such things happen) that tea accidentally spills over, messes and creates a stain on the bridal gown. Tea-stains in the wedding dress can take us unawares as everyone is taken aback and nonplussed as to what to do and how to recuperate and get going with the merry affair.
Managing with tea-stained wedding dresses
Tea or coffee or mud or bloodstains are quite common. A tea stained wedding dress though untoward is not uncommon. However, instead of panicking or lamenting we need to take whatever control measures we can immediately. Though the incident of the dress for the solemn occasion being stained is an unfortunate happening yet we need to act swiftly instead of crying over spilt milk and take steps to make amends.
It must be remembered that tea stain is water-soluble. So, dabbing cool water on the spot and rinsing might help. A mild but potent detergent solution may also be used. However, we need to handle the rinsing with tender care or else the soft fabric of the wedding dress might get damaged. Another thing that may be of help is club soda. This can be used as water and rinsed off. The garment can then be air-dried. Hopefully, this will take care of the problem and the gown can be rendered fit for putting on.
